Alan Anibal De Souza Ramos
I had the privilege to work this semester as assistant conductor for the third time in my life. This time I faced one of the youngest bosses I ever had, and I have no doubt that he was the best of all of them. Geoffrey McDonald could easily work alone without any assistance, but he chose to give a part of this opportunity to me, as his assistant conductor. During the semester, Geoff has always been supportable to me and to the Bard College Orchestra. The Orchestra on his hands grew up in size and quality. He was always well prepared for the rehearsals; he has a great acknowledge of the way how the instruments should sound; and he always have respect to all colleagues in Bard College. Moreover his music is refined. I leave these words here to Geoff to say thanks for what I have learned this time in his company and with Bard College Orchestra. Alan Anibal
