SyncWind Power Ltd has acquired the intellectual property of Windflow Technology Ltd (in liquidation). SyncWind is working to take two main products forward in the global wind industry:- the patented TLG/LVS synchronous wind turbine power train for large and mid-size turbines- the proven mid-size Windflow 33-500 and 45-500 turbines. In addition SyncWind can offer a wide range of wind power engineering services, based on the experience of its principal, Geoff Henderson SyncWind Power Ltd has acquired the intellectual property of Windflow Technology Ltd (in liquidation). Founded Windflow Technology Ltd and built 106 innovative Windflow 500 turbines which have been technically successful in the challenging winds of New Zealand and Scotland. Technical highlights include:- class 1A IEC certification to Edition 3 of IEC 61400-1- 1000 turbine-years track record (and climbing) with the Windflow 500- all synchronous turbines (including a 48 MW wind farm generating 130 GWh/year in New Zealand)- mid-size turbines, under 200 ft tip-height for reduced landscape and aviation issues. and viability at 50 MW scale or in distributed applications- lowest weight per unit output in the wind industry- perfected the 2-bladed teetering system for robustness in turbulent hilltop sites- developed and patented the LVS system to expand the TLG system for low-wind sites.

Diverse range of engineering projects at the "University of WEG". During this period I invented the TLG power-train, which cost-effectively protected the gearbox from overloads, and as a by-product, enabled the use of a synchronous generator directly on-line.
