I am a dedicated and motivated high school Spanish teacher. I often work with my school's English Language Learner student population as well. I am the Department Head of the Foreign Language department at Horizon Science Academy of Toledo, as well as, the Department Head for my district. I am also the instructor of my school's Spanish Folklore Dance Club. Our main goal each year is to be able to compete at a International competition in Chicago. My club won first place three out of the last four school years, and we have been invited back again this year. My goal as an educator is to provide my students a safe environment, where learning is the number one objective. I achieve this goal through my strong classroom management and well conducted classes. One of my strongest strategies of teaching is providing the most nurturing , caring environment possible for my students, as well as, incorporating life scenarios into the curriculum and other disiplines. My classroom has a very welcoming feel, that demonstrates the meshing together of many cultures into one melting pot. Show less
