I held concurrent responsibility for negotiating all carriers spot rates and contracts, tendering loads to carriers, resolving invoice discrepancies, processing claims, and representing logistics on DC execution with upper management. It is worth mentioning that, I oversaw all of domestic transportation, inventory control, production modification, quality assurance, distribution management, and domestic warehouse functionalities. the following are highlights of my contributions to Northwest Hardwoods, Inc.; Shipped products via FTL, LTL, Intermodal, and boxcars, ensured each order contains proper inventory of specific length and products, and monitored shippers to product in accurate and safe manner. Annually save transportation cost of over $250K and eliminated the need to store products off site bu developing Boxcar program for slow shipment months and utilizing extra shipping capacity of the boxcars to service customers and warehouses. Reduced inventory management costs and minimized discrepancies by strategically managing inventory of 200+ SKUs on a daily basis and always maintaining the required inventory levels to manifest and up charge to customers. Streamline domestic distribution and import through three new identified 3PLS warehouses and negotiating twelve warehouse contracts. Obtained comparatively lower prices and favorable terms by sourcing new vendors, strategically negotiating contracts, and establishing relationships with key vendors. Show less
