The Company has succeeded in developing a multi-algorithmic product that significantly improves the readability of content in a grayscale image, enabling professionals who rely on these images for critical decision-making to be able to “see beyond the limits of the human vision system.” Imago’s initial human healthcare market focus is on visualization of abnormalities in screening mammograms, for which an FDA clinical trial will soon start. Additionally, Imago is in development of a veterinary product which is expected to launch in early 2018. Other modalities and diseases within human healthcare, as well as product development for industrial applications, will follow. Show less

In a research role for AVSI, developed imaging methodologies, advanced image segmentation, visualization and rendering, multi-dimensional image processing, measurements and iterative algorithms. This effort lead to a patented computer-based processing and analysis methodology called “Signature Mapping” for automated detection of materials or objects in digital images. These inventions and processes discovered distinguishable object signatures in images created from a wide range of image acquisition devices including single and dual energy X-ray scanners, ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET, millimeter wave, backscatter, and gamma- and neutron-based detectors. The technology has been incorporated into AVSI’s products to automatically identify threats in carry-on baggage at airports and assist bomb squads in the field, to find specific materials in remote sensing applications using hyper-spectral data analysis and in medical applications that involve analyzing MRI, CT, Ultra Sound, and X-ray images to find tuberculosis, breast cancer, and traumatic brain injuries.

CEO/ Image Consultant

Jan 1993 - Jan 2004
Developed imaging processes to analyze and optimize digital images for scientific and commercial web-based applications for national corporations, educational institutions and museums. Invented “regularization” processes that can be described as “compensating for image properties” not desired in the final rendered image. These processes were used in fingerprint analysis, TV commercials, art restoration and interactive museum projects.
