Bio
Bruce Gilbertson
Gene and I have worked together in 4 different companies over the past ~25 years and I have watched his success and growth from an excellent sales and competitive claims SME, to Director of Quality and Training and then Senior Director responsible for business development, product development, client management and sales. He has continually developed himself including additional collegiate education and Six Sigma. What I think is most noteworthy about Gene is his infectious positive attitude and the ability to lead and develop others. He has been a mentor and role model on many levels to many people over the years. I learned directly from Gene how to mentor and develop associates. It was an area that I was always uncomfortable with, and I am grateful that Gene was there to lead by example and help me to become a better leader.

It's not enough the Gene Bouie is an extraordinary human being. He's so dynamic in his approach to every job that the room fairly crackles with his energy and ideas. When I first came to ETS in 2001, Gene was one of the first people that I met and we collaborated on many projects together, which had the effect of changing the culture as our organization doubled its size and revenues, but more importantly expanded the application of its mission worldwide. Frankly, I miss working with Gene because he always wanted to make things happen. Maybe it's because he's somebody who 'carried the bag' and knows what it's like to actually effect in exchange with the client so that everybody is satisfied. Maybe it's because he cares passionately about making everyone successful. And maybe it's just because he is that extraordinary human being
