Flat White Specialty Coffee Shop is one of the most prestigious coffee shop companies here in Doha, Qatar. It is one of the coffee shops who started the "Specialty Coffee" trend here in Qatar. Everyday was a challenge because we are responsible to provide high quality coffee using the highest quality of beans only. I mainly work at the Qatar Foundation branch and main role in this job is working behind the counter; taking in orders, upselling and generally providing a friendly atmosphere as the first point of contact of every guest who drops by at the shop, further enhancing my customer service skills while improving my skills regarding coffee during the process. My multi-tasking skills are being enhanced here on a daily basis as well for we have to work effectively as a multi-tasker rather than workingnon just one specific role. Roles include cashiering, waitering, clearing tables and washing dishes, coffee making and food preparation. Admin duties also like tracking daily inventory, wastages and breakages, placing orders for food and stocks to keep the shop running properly operations wise. Show less

Damage Speciality Coffee shop is a privately owned, semi-specialty coffee shop. In here, I re-started my career as a barista after being off for a few months due to the pandemic. Had almost the same responsibilities from the first coffee shop I worked at. Since it is a small coffee shop and has lesser employees, my multi-tasking skills have been developed as I work as a barista, cashier, kitchen staf and waiter at the same time. The main skill I learned from this company is how to work efficiently and effectively with the limited resources provided and still ensuring to provide high quality products and customer service despite having the issue of being short-staffed Show less

I started everything about coffee here in this company. So far I have gained knowledge about the world of specialty coffee, how to prepare coffee according to specialty coffee standards. I also learned how to make basic latté arts. Aside from coffee knowledge, I am learning in this company additional skills with regards to customer service, cashiering, logistics and procurement as well as accounting and marketing.
