Mathematics Teacher

Sep 2015 - Sep 2016
● I taught students aged 11-16 years old. I created all my own lessons and resources; the class size was approximately 30 students. ● I was also in charge of Year 7 maths intervention for weaker students who needed more one to one teaching. I had my own team of teaching assistants who I planned and provided lessons for. Each session had a maximum of seven students and the results in progress were very good. ● I taught students aged 11-16 years old. Camp Counselor and Camp Manager
-
Jan 2012 - Apr 2014
● As Camp Manager, I was in charge of hiring new leaders and looking after their wellbeing. I had to ensure schedules were ready and all staff were trained and prepared for their given activity. I was also the parent/teacher liaison and was in charge of camp invoices and accounts. ● My main role as a camp leader was teaching different rotations; kayaking, raft building, horse riding and motor biking. In the evenings we played night games which was fun and challenging. ● Before camp began each week, I was in charge of organising our camp counsellors, the facilities, bedrooms and camp menu. This shows that I am very organised, reliable and ready to undertake any task that comes my way. Show less

● The Farm ran an Agriculture/Horticulture course taught by myself and two other teachers. ● I was in charge of teaching the numeracy and literacy elements of the course, as well as delivering the outdoor activities. ● The students were 16-18 years old and had a lot of different social, behavioural and learning difficulties. Working with these students made me realise how much having an education can benefit children of all different backgrounds. ● I was also in charge of the students’ pastoral care and wellbeing.
