  A 5 week research project conducted on behalf of Food for All (a community group working to improve food security in the Swan Hill region) to explore the food literacy training needs of the agency workforce. Agencies provided various support services (primarily housing, employment, financial aid and emergency food relief) to vulnerable community members. Findings pertaining to the nature of current emergency food relief provision, and practical recommendations to address the barriers associated with enhancing food literacy amongst clients (from a staff perspective) were presented to the Food for All chairperson, dietetic and health promotion staff at Swan Hill District Health.
