Mike Scott, LLB CBV

Brent has been the Director, Facilities of Terramera for nearly four (4) years and has worked closely with me in my position as CFO throughout that time, reporting to me over the last year or so. Brent is a great Director, Facilities. He cares for the Facilities like they are his own and guides his team with care. In his time with Terramera Brent has taken on and delivered on a number of big capital projects on time and on budget. Brent is highly responsive, even-keeled and pro-active. He knows when to act and when to seek direction/input making him a great, low maintenance direct report. Brent consistently demonstrates the key attributes I look for in a leader – he is principled, he is practical and he treats people (peers, subordinates and bosses) with respect. He holds himself and others accountable to a high standard. Brent has the depth and breadth of experience to manage large capital projects while at the same time being willing to get in the trenches. This is a pretty rare combination and makes him particularly well suited to working with growing companies that are still developing and refining their systems and processes. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Brent again.

Brent is an accomplished manager and a great mentor. I worked under his supervision at both Terramera and MEC and I have only great things to say. Brent's exceptional level of expertise in overseeing new build projects as well as management and maintenance of various facilities is remarkable. His attention to detail and strategic thinking helped to streamline our facilities management processes and ensure the safety and comfort of all employees. He also spearheaded several facility improvement initiatives that significantly enhanced our workplace environment. Brent is sustainability focused and implemented sustainability plans/processes that includes energy efficiency measures, waste reduction strategies, and green building practices. This not only reduced operational costs but also improved the environmental performance of the facilities. Beyond the technical skills, Brent was an excellent leader and mentor to our team. He fostered a collaborative and inclusive work culture that promoted open communication and encouraged professional growth. Brent is a dedicated and results- driven professional and I am proud to have worked and learned under his guidance. He, undoubtedly, will be a great asset to any organisation.
