Acquisitions: acquired new journals across STM and HSS subjects in which the company is active, mainly through new society partnerships, but also through purchase of titles and lists (e.g. Left Coast Press journals). Starting within the STM division on the Management & Computing list, I managed a product mix of 30 new books per year and 12 journals (four of which I started-up). I then moved to the Professional & Trade division under direction from the newly acquired Hungry Minds team in the US where I effected the transition of a largely research monograph list to a higher contract professional profile. In 2003, I moved to the newly created UK college division where I published texts across the computing curriculum and helped open export channels to the US. Show less
