We retrained the TensorFlow object detection API on Bosch dataset to detect traffic lights and we used the KD-Tree algorithm to efficiently find the point in a set that is nearest to a given input point. • Learned about Autonomous Vehicle Architecture and built a ROS environment to run the code on the car Semantic segmentation: • Generated a dataset of RGB images and labeled image utilizing CARLA, the cutting-edge open-source simulator for autonomous vehicles developed by Intel Labs • Took the images extracted from the CARLA simulator and applied a perception algorithm to identify which pixels in those images correspond to other vehicles.
