      My main area of expertise is currently delivering on the franchised PGCE programme, delivering on all first year units and three of the five modules on year 2. My main areas of expertise in this are the Preparing to Teach, Planning and Assessment and Curriculum Development for Inclusive Learning modules. Prior to delivering on the PGCE my area of expertise was IT, particularly teaching on the BTEC suite of qualifications, specializing in networks, communications and computer hardware, but I am also able to deliver programming and website design. Roles and Responsibilities include: • Cross College Staff Development • Delivery of courses from Entry Level 3 up to Level 6. • Delivery of Essential Skills, Wider Key Skills, WBQ and Wider Curriculum • Involved in the designing of new courses and materials. • Departmental administrative tasks. • Providing mentoring, advice and support to students. • Conducting staff appraisals. • Completing course evaluation documentation. • Mentoring and assessment of PGCE students in the classroom. • Interviewing potential students. • Planning and implementing changes to courses based on internal and external factors. • Ensuring systems are in place to maintain quality and attainment on courses. • Managing the course team requirements. • Timetabling of courses. • Liaising with Lead IV to ensure national standards are maintained on the course. • Developing tutorial provision to ensure the needs of the students are met. • Lead IV for Retail and Cardiff and Vale College • Member of the Judged Observation Team in the college, sharing good practice and providing data for self-assessment.
