  -Assess credit proposals submitted by the relationship management teams and coordinate with the respective business functions to rectify any omissions with a view to providing commercially suitable solutions / facility structures. -Assessment includes the design of appropriate facility structures – in line with the needs, financial risk profile, operation risk & industry risks in line with stipulated internal parameters / policies. -Approval of credit proposals which is in line with prescribed parameters / standards or submit for approval to the respective authority. A short credit summary is prepared by the Credit Manager for higher office approval (Executive committee and Board). - Assessing / approving annual reviews and one-off requests within stipulated service level agreements (SLA) -Maintain quality of the credit portfolio by approving / recommending quality credits and identifying high risk accounts for special management. -Maintaining an overview of delinquent clients and recommending appropriate strategies to regularize the overdue position. -Providing feedback to policy makers on key areas of improvement with regards to credit proposal submissions and mitigation of associated risk factors. -Undertaking additional works including review of polices, work related to IFRS 9 provisioning and other additional works that are tasked. -Reviewing / undertaking gap analysis with respect to SAMAs guidelines such as the Large Exposure Policy, Related Party Lending Policy, Managing Problem Loans and other relevant guidelines issued from SAMA from time to time.
