SOS Children’s Villages of India is a non-profit, non-government, voluntary organisation, committed to the care of children in need. The aim and objective of SOS Children’s Villages of India is to provide long term family based care to orphaned children and to strengthen disadvantaged families as a preventive measure against abandonment and social neglect of children. Since its inception in the year 1964 SOS Children’s Villages of India has expanded its services for children in need at a rapid pace. SOS Children’s Villages gives the children a closest alternative to a natural family i.e. a SOS family where they find a mother, brothers and sisters to grow up with. Each SOS Children’s Village constitutes 10 to 20 Family Homes. Within the security of a family, children grow-up into independent and responsible citizens of society. SOS Children's Village was my second step towards my professional career and I was responsible for Internal Audit, Grant Management, Annual Budgeting, and also a team member of balance sheet finalization. Apart from this I was also coordinating with management at all levels and providing feedback for the audits performed. Also engaged in MIS and assisting Chief Financial Officer as and when required.
