• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining Smarter Grid Solutions core IT estate, providing 3rd line support for both internal and external customers to resolve their issues in a timely manner. • Ensuring a rapid response and resolution to business-critical alerts and issues to maximise uptime and maintain business continuity. • Worked as part of a three man team to deliver a complex multi-site office move in a 90 day window, including a breakout from Office site to co-located data-centre, MPLS design, site-to-site VPN redesign and complete network reconfiguration with new Cisco 9000 series switches and Firepower ASA firewalls. • Delivering exceptional end-user customer service, resolving tickets to defined SLA’s and working within the ITIL and ISO:9001 frameworks. • Working hand in hand with Information Security Team to ensure continual monitoring of the network edge and internal systems to maintain full awareness of potential threats. • Migrated from on-premise anti-spam and archiving solution to Mimecast with zero end user interruption, provided on-site in person training and ensured a smooth, professional migration.

Global IT Lead

• Responsible for the management and strategy required to continue Spire’s growth and drive towards revenue generation by leading the IT unit, ensuring the unit provided both a strong and stable IT platform as well as ensuring the transition from Start-Up to Enterprise was smooth. • Driving manpower growth by recruiting appropriate staff members to cover globally disparate offices and teams • Oversaw design, planning and implementation of IT infrastructure from the ground up, Spire was transitioning from a Start-Up with no centralised IT to a revenue-generating Enterprise • Managed deployment of Office 365, Google Apps, Azure/Amazon AWS/Two Factor Authentication/Casper & Jamf Suite for OSX management, Zenoss Network monitoring. • Responsible for the design, implementation and handover of the Spire IT Network, as well as the design and deployment of three new offices in San Francisco, Singapore and Glasgow as well as the physical and virtual infrastructure required to support these.

• Responsible for the monitoring and smooth running of Aberdeen’s internal facing IT systems from the Hypervisor up. • Taking responsibility for and responding to critical alerts raised by the internal monitoring solution before events become business critical • Contributing and aiding in design, planning and implementation of new IT projects as part of the wider IT team at Aberdeen. • A strong proponent of migrations from on-premise solutions to cloud platform’s such as AD into Azure, Exchange to Office 365, On-Prem ADFS to ADFS in O365 and Enterprise Vault to Mimecast. • Responsible for the design, implementation and handover of a Windows Server Failover Cluster and SQL 2012 Availability Group responsible for £300bn in managed asset calculations using aggregated data from Charles River and Bloomberg platforms.

I played a key role in delivering solutions for leading international corporations, by designing and configuring network monitoring solutions. I also provide expert support and troubleshooting for various tailored products, ensuring system reliability and availability. My technical and communications skills are invaluable in developing robust professional relationships with our clients, who include systems and network administrators. I carry out installations, builds, configurations and deployments at client sites, and additionally act as the company’s internal Systems Administrator. This position also enables me to use my programming skills to write bespoke scripts and codes, to provide an interface between Solarwinds solutions and customer applications.
