Line managing six staff, taking part in staff recruitment and taking an active part in the business development activities of the office including pitches and events. This involved running a practice with turnover of £400k per annum. This included general bookkeeping, preparation of statutory accounts, preparation of corporation tax returns, preparation of personal tax returns, preparation of VAT returns and managing payroll for clients. I worked at the practice during two different periods; the first period from July 1998 to July 2004 mainly during secondary school and university, gaining experience in general bookkeeping. My second period was between February 2007 to May 2008, which was due to the passing of the sole proprietor (father). I was tasked with running the practice, which had four fulltime staff for over a year, before successfully concluding of sale of the practice in March 2008 and completing handovers by May 2008.
