Bio
Vincent Barnes
Gary Stubbs is a superb leader, manager and mentor. I had the pleasure of working for Gary Stubbs for a period of 7 years while serving the United States Navy. The 7 years began at the Navy Communications Area Master Station Atlantic (1987-1989) and extended to the Precommissioning Unit/USS GEORGE WASHINGTON CVN-73 (1990-1994). He consistently uplifted, motivated and inspired the people that worked for him to be the best at whatever you do. It did not matter if you were making coffee for the Department or going to brief the Captain of the ship on the bridge about a communications related topic. He always portrayed a leadership by example demeanor. For me personally he inspired me to reach for the stars which resulted in my selection as a Chief Petty Officer and ultimately to my selection as a Limited Duty Officer in the Navy’s Officer Procurement Program. Gary Stubbs was responsible for inspiring many of my close friends today to do exactly the same. He is the personification of a leader and is that go to guy at any organization that he chooses to be a part of.
