Bio
Jane Goffman
I first met Gary in relation to Pegasus Riding School for the Disabled, where he and I both gave consulting advice to the organisation. I was struck then by Gary's sincerity and willingness to go the extra mile, and hard headed accounting/finance skills. Over the years I was impressed by the projects he took on at the helm of the NCA, especially the challenging link joining the lake's premier walking circuit to the Kings Avenue bridge, which is one of the finest infrastructure projects undertaken anywhere in Australia and a credit to the Commonwealth government. As Deputy D-G of the EPSD Directorate I found Gary to be an outstanding operator: a straight shooter, prepared to listen carefully, with the courage to take on board what community leaders were saying and take that up the line for results. Results are what set Gary apart from the many highly paid officials I have dealt with in the Canberra planning arena. He delivers results because he's genuine, and that's a rare and precious gift in today's market. I would recommend Gary unreservedly, and wish him the very best.

A great opportunity to help a new agency get started, up to speed and then to welcome an ongoing CEO. This plays to my strengths - energy, agility, solutions...find a way to make it happen.
