  Appointed as the first Chief Executive of the Association in August 1999 and after establishing an effective industry office, Gary developed and maintained a cohesive active industry network which allowed the successful identification and delivery of the funds industry’s priorities. Gary led the industry participation in the development of the business environment for the investment funds industry in Ireland and the international promotion and profiling of the industry’s capabilities. During his tenure the industry in Ireland grew from €71bn in assets to a value of €1.9 trillion and Ireland is now a world renowned centre for the location and administration of internationally distributed investment funds.
