  The Arcadia High School Constitution Team consists of 30 high school seniors in the Advanced Placement American Government and Politics class who compete in the national "We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution” program. The team has won five California state championships. In 1993 and 2010, the Arcadia High Team won a national title, and has also placed second, third and seventh in the nation. The “We the People” program was created in 1987 by an act of Congress, and is administered by the Center for Civic Education to promote civic responsibility among American students.

  In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Kovacic was a member of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, California, recently concluding 18 years service as a four-term City Council Member (1996-2006; 2008-2016) and six-term Mayor. He also chaired the City’s Redevelopment Agency Board and Planning Commission, and was a member of the Oversight Board of the City’s Successor Agency, positions that managed numerous development, zoning, and land use issues.
