    • Manager, Tube Mill

Responsible for all tube and coil production for SPX Cooling Technologies. Manage all operations for plant 1004 in Tulsa, OK from logistics to production. We manufacture both Evaporative Condenser coils and MHF/Fluid Cooler coils by milling 1" tube on-site, serpentine bending, and assembling. We mill both .049" and .060" wall tube for these processes, making single tubes that range from 70' to 260' long before serpentine bending. This new process for SPX is garnering attention for meeting production goals and constantly improving processes to meet customers needs more effectively. This small team has support from both SPX Cooling in Olathe, KS and Overland Park, KS, as well as SPX Heat Transfer in Tulsa with whom we share a facility. The success here is truly 'team driven' with demonstrated dedication to success from every level.

    • Manager, Logistics and Tube Production

Current focus is on maintaining a strong Logistics and Warehouse group while being actively engaged in the production of tubes and the assembly of MHF and Condenser coils.Tube and Coil production is new for Heat Transfer. We need considerable improvement in the process, and we need the improvement quickly. We will continue to focus of the '5 Things' - Production, Quality, Safety, Cost, and Labor - in order to drive improvements and reduce manufacturing time. We need to build a strong team, and we have an excellent foundation of employees to start with. I am excited about the possibilities of what tube and coil production could bring to the Heat Transfer unit. The Logistics and Warehouse group has had an amazing three-year run on inventory accuracy, and Annual Physical Inventory adjustments have been minimal. We will continue to drive and improve the cycle counting process for continued success. 5S remains a goal of increased performance for both groups. The Logistics group has a history of fantastic 5S scores, but the Tube and Coil Production group is building from scratch - but with high expectations.

    • Manager, Manufacturing Services
      • Mar 2014 - Nov 2015

Support of Manufacturing group in all areas - Logistics, Materials, Maintenance & Facilities, Manufacturing/Weld Engineering, and Continuous Improvement groups. In Materials group, current focus is materials kitting processes to reduce indirect hours and increase productivity, inventory accuracy through cycle counting and usage reporting of raw materials. Additional Materials challenges for this year include control and reduction of Excess & Obsolete material, reorganization and restructure of roles and responsibilities to remove non-value added activities and increase effeciency, and re-evaluate and reconstruct our MRO/Consumable usage and spend. Currently realigning our Logistics process to be compatible with other SPX entities, and working with Sales and Proposals groups to offer accurate freight estimates and quality information.Maintenance/Facilities goals are reduced down-time, re-prioritizing goals, and completion of over-due projects. Strong focus on completing projects and repairs correctly the first time and offering accurate feedback to production on estimated completion dates.Strong advocate of the 'open-book' approach to team-work. Offer all available information in order for all parties involved to make accurate and timely decisions for their benefit and the benefit of the organization.Focus groups to follow the "5 Things" in decision making - Production, Quality, Safety, Cost, and Labor - In order to change the culture from the "old way" to a more productive and budget friendly ideology.
