Gary Hogan concentrates his practice in residential and commercial real estate transactions, and other sophisticated asset based transactions, development, land use and planning, zoning and related litigation. His expertise includes complex real estate issues and title matters. He appears in all courts in both states for clients involved in real estate litigation. Mr. Hogan represents lenders in both residential and commercial loan transactions. Attorney Hogan has considerable experience in the bankruptcy field. He represents lenders in collection, foreclosure, bankruptcy and workout matters. He regularly appears in Bankruptcy Court in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts on behalf of his clients. Mr. Hogan also has considerable experience representing debtors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases. As a State Legislator, Mr. Hogan was the prime drafter and sponsor of legislation that amended the Homestead Statute as well as modifications to the exemption statute. Additionally, Attorney Hogan has considerable experience representing developers and others before municipal zoning and planning boards and city/town councils. Gary has successfully argued in front to the Rhode Island Supreme Court. As a State Legislator, he played a key role in several important amendments to zoning and planning law.
