  Arcus 1856 provides traditional and bespoke re/insurance solutions which capitalise on the firm’s ability to expertly combine ILS structures and insurance products.My role consists of the following:1) Responsible for management of the Syndicate relationship with Lloyd’s Performance Management Directorate (PMD), Barbican Managing Agency and Capital Provider. Lead negotiations of the annual business plan and any amendments.2) Work with Active Underwriter and Senior management on new syndicate business initiatives3) Monitor and manage syndicate performance against plan through in-house data and Lloyd’s returns – QMA, QMB, PMDR, GQD, SBF, SRS and TPD4) Effective coordination of pricing, capital, operations, reinsurance, actuarial resources for the analysis and presentation of new business initiatives5) Monitoring of premium income and performance against plan. Regular reviews and working with underwriters and analysts to suggest corrective action.6) Manage independent peer review process, syndicate audits and compliance with general regulatory returns to Lloyd’s, FCA and PRA 7) Carry out Company Secretary duties in charge of filing all company returns for four different entities8) Run Coming into Line (CIL) process with Lloyd’s and look after all Corporate Member responsibilities in London for three Corporate Members 9) Oversight and delivery of structured and ad-hoc MI through the creation of dashboards for use by Underwriting divisions and management including market analysis
