Responsible for the safety and security of correctional center staff, deputies volunteers and inmates. Conduct daily operations such as security checks, medical rounds, recreation, transferring inmates, providing meals, and visitation. Entrusted as a Field Training Officer. I have assisted in the training of 5 deputies in correctional center operations and training 3 other deputies in the inventory of inmate property and funds. I provide general instruction to deputy recruits and in service deputies on a variety of department and law enforcement topics. Review lesson plans for accuracy and update Power Point presentations when needed for firearms and emergency vehicle operation. Certified by Glock Inc. as a Glock armorer. I can completely disassemble the receiver and slide assemblies of the Glock pistol in order to replace broken or worn parts to ensure the proper and safe operation of the Glock pistol.
