Wexham Park Hospital is an Acute hospital. I joined HWPH Trust as an Estates Operations Manager responsible for the management of the Building team at Wexham Park together with all the engineering services at Heatherwood Hospital. Within 4 months, I was promoted to take a new position of Senior Estates Operations Manager responsible for the entire maintenance team delivering all of the Electrical, Mechanical and building fabric repairs at all 5 sites, that are occupied by the Trust. Together with the day to day management of the 25 engineers and 4 team leaders that report to me, I have daily operational meetings with the heads of the clinical teams to understand and prioritise their requirements to enable the smooth operation of a large 700 bed hospital and major A&E department. A essential part of my role is to deliver the planned and reactive maintenance tasks in a timely and cost effective manner, reporting directly to the Head of Estates any cost pressures and short falls in the delivery of the any services. My primary role at Heatherwood hospital is to maintain all services whilst preparing vacant buildings for decommissioning prior to site closure and refurbishment. Show less

Managed and developed the services provided by BET Facilities Management within the ICL sites at Reading and Slough, ensuring that all services were provided within the terms of the contract and to the quality and cost required by the client. I managed a team of 11 direct staff reporting to me and in addition there were 4 security officers, 1 day cleaner and 8 evening DOC reporting to me daily. The building had a atrium of approximately 20,000 sq/ft and I was providing services to 700+ ICL employees in high-security buildings of up to 86,000 sq ft. I was responsible for an annual budget of £4m. I was approached by Honeywell's to join them as a resident engineer forming a team to maintain the services at the National Iranian Oil Companies head quarters in Westminster. My responsible on site would be for the maintenance and operation of all aspects of building services including air conditioning, environmental controls, first line support for the Delta BMS system and plumbing. As part of the team I had joint responsible to manage all sub-contractors that were appointed to maintain specialised equipment and associated plant including security and fire safety systems. I was then promoted as site manager to maintain the building services of Norfolk House and the various sub contracted specialist disciplines on site. Whilst operating as building manager, this site was one of the prime locations that supported Honeywell's achieving the quality management award. Show less
