Garry managed me for a number of years when i first started working for BT Group which was my first "proper" job after uni. Garry is an excellant people manager and helped me hugely with my professional development whilst i worked for him. Garry brings out the very best in everyone on the teams he manages as he takes such a refreshing approach to caring about his team members and understanding them as individuals. This approach makes everyone feel empowered and supported to work to the very best of their abilities. Garry has a great sense of humour so working on his team was always a lot of fun. At the same time Garry always provided leadership, direction and drive so his teams are high performing and deliver their targets.Garry is an excellant, confident and engaging communicator as well as an agile problem solver who really develops his teams. As a result i can truly say it was a pleasure to work with him and his support and mentoring gave me a lot of confidence to learn, develop key skills and move forwards in my career.

      The role concluded as part of BTs strategic closure program. Though not unexpected, I doffed my Hat on a 35-year career within BT. Credit-Revenue management was a role I wholeheartedly enjoyed and was a natural calling. I became the troubleshooting manager, developing key relationships with key stakeholders and customers to improve static or new financial revenue areas. Great area to work in, great people, great achievements.

      Post winning BTs Best Leader award , I was asked to lead on People engagement, understanding the reasons for current EEI and creating a plan to improve not just the EEI score but genuine motivation and advocacy. Concurrently managing an operational team within BT wholesale.

A role where I developed a clear understanding of process and equitable outcomes . IT was a great role for written communication skills .
