      UK Field Operations Manager – reporting to the Operations Director – a further re-structure now included the added responsibility of contractors with assessment of ‘ fit for purpose ‘ , delegation and management of the appointed team whilst still directing installation of Ascom projects across the UK.

      UK Field Operation Team Leader – promoted from a regional Operations Team Leader to being responsible for the installation of Ascom projects across the UK. Duties were of a similar nature to the regional position but a company re-structure required the role to be singular and adopt a scaled up approach. I was also responsible for the management of the Ascom Field engineering team.

      Field Operation Team Leader (North) – solely responsible for the scheduling and installation of Ascom projects across the Northern region and Scotland. Duties included the planning of resource and requisition of material and commissioning. I was also responsible for the local warehouse to ISO standard and management of the Ascom Field engineering team’s inventory.

      Branch Supervisor (North) – My main role was to provide support to the Branch Engineering Manager for installation, planning resources and for the maintenance of the inventory to ISO standards. Additional roles included local technical support to the branch field engineers for Ascom’s existing product portfolio and the supervision and installation of the Ericsson PABX to a major UK retailer.

      Field engineer - my responsibilities were to install and service all Ascom products in the Northern region of the UK, the products had now become more technical with message integration, lone worker alarms with location and the introduction of DECT technologies.

      • 1991 - 1996

      apprentice engineer - duties were to assist engineers in installations and service of Ascom equipment, this was mainly radio paging with data and 2 way speech plus stand- alone VHF / UHF Kenwood or Ascom radio systems. During this time I also gained an HNC in Electrical and Electronic engineering.
