Jul 2011 - Present
In 2011 I started with SPFC & Associates, now BOSS Corporation, as a managing partner. My primary responsibility at the time was sales and marketing. As the company grew, and as my safety and security credentials increased and became more industry-specific, my role expanded to project management, code complaince, training, and app development. From 2014-2016 I successfully led a team of architects and fire protection engineers to complete a number of complex life safety system and sprinkler retrofits in a number of Chicago’s historical and landmark high-rises, which required unique solutions. I also led a successful initiative to re-test a well-known sprinkler pipe at Underwriters Laboratories for a condition that had not been previously approved, saving the client over $700,000. In 2017, as part of our BOSS Corporation transition/rebrand, I lead a team of app developers to create an application called LifeSaver™. This app was developed to help keep building occupants safe and accounted for during emergencies. It was also completed on time and on budget. I currently act as a managing partner and vice president of business development, overseeing successful project completion. This role includes actively taking on projects and occupant training to improve our programs and products, assisting clients with risk audits, and writing written procedures. Our team’s work has accounted for adoption and changes to many significant codes; including many municipal rescue practices and operating procedures. My team and I, continue to lead the charge to find more efficient ways to keep people safe while minimizing changes to the current codes and standards. Show less
