Faith in Indiana and Act Indiana (our electoral vehicle) is the main vehicle to restore democracy and make our government work for everyday people in Indiana. As the largest multi-racial and multi-faith organization in the state, Faith in Indiana is building power for everyday people to reduce gun violence, reduce incarceration, expand public transit, and more. Act Indiana is uniting partners from the labor, community, and environmental sectors to build power and make this shift happen. I'll be recruiting, training, and supporting everyday people in key parts of Indiana to step up as local leaders and some to run for our state legislature. Show less

The PalEON Project is an interdisciplinary team of scientists whose goal is to reconstruct forest composition, fire regime, and climate in forests across the northeastern US and Alaska over the past 2000 years and use this to drive and validate terrestrial ecosystem models. As a research assistant, I translated Public Land Survey notes from the 17th-18th centuries from manuscript into digital format, assisting with implementation of the data entry form. This project developed innovative and novel data to inform climate models. With this information, we will be better able to understand how climate has reacted in the past to large changes in forest composition, and better predict how current warming will affect existing forests.
