I hired Melissa as Marketing Director and had the pleasure to work closely with her for 18 months while I was the acting CMO at Bertucci’s. During this period of intense change, we needed to maximize limited resources to re-invent and re-ignite the brand. Melissa was the cornerstone of our marketing team, tasked with building systems and resources, developing and executing new brand, menu and creative strategies to impact short-term revenue while building the foundation for sustainable success. Melissa was an immediate and lasting force, contributing to all levels of strategy and tactical implementation, establishing protocols and serving as traffic controller, keeping countless moving parts and projects on track and within a steady stream of deadlines. A consummate professional and strong communicator, she worked across all departments, lead multiple direct-reports, and managed external partner teams on key programs, events and initiatives, giving whatever it took – plus some – in an atmosphere of extended financial pressure. Among Melissa’s many strengths is her calm focus and attention to detail no matter the days, hours or micro-seconds at hand. She always has an eye on blending creative with analytics, and in delivering results within multi-faceted time tables. Melissa is well-liked and respected, operating with the highest level of integrity and business savvy. She is equally as comfortable working independently or with a team, at the helm or as key support, and in front of an audience or one-on-one. Melissa brings discipline, humor and spirit to every new day; essential qualities when the stakes are high and the train is tearing down the tracks. Without hesitation, I’d have Melissa head my team again, and I recommend her highly for anyone in need of a true marketing pro and project lead.

Melissa's an expert in marketing and shows it as she maintains a consumer centric view while planning and executing programs or launching products. Among all of the reasons I admire Melissa in the workplace, what gives her an edge is her ability to connect with people and elevate the entire team by equipping and encouraging others to do a great job as she leads by example.
