Nov. 2013 – Oct. 2014, Eastern New Exploration – Northern Division - Conducted a study on the Berea Sandstone in Eastern Kentucky, southern Appalachian Basin. The purpose was to add value to existing acreage and to identify possible horizontal drilling opportunities. Nov. 2012 – Nov. 2013, Eastern Division Regional Studies - Constructed a regional sequence stratigraphy interpretation of the Devonian section in the Appalachian Basin with the purpose of identifying other possible shale potential beyond the Marcellus Shale. Also conducted a regional maturity study of the Appalachian Basin evaluating SRA data from Cambrian, Ordovician and Devonian Aged rocks. Both projects were completed through collaboration with other team members on the regional studies team. Dec. 2010 – Nov. 2012, Operations geologist in the Marcellus Shale - Designed development plans and well plans, geo-steered over 80 wells, coordinated target lines of other geologist, collaborated on drill schedules with the land department, evaluated and made recommendations on all non-op elections, constructed x- sections, generated maps, analyzed mud logs and studied previously drilled wells for the purpose of high grading CHK acreage. - Conducted and assisted in regional studies on several prolific producing reservoirs in the Anadarko Basin (Tonkawa SS, Cottage Grove SS, Cleveland SS, Atoka Unit and the Woodford Shale) for the purpose of understanding these reservoirs on a regional scale and to gain a better understanding of the overall petroleum systems of the Anadarko Basin and possible development of these reservoirs using vertical and horizontal drilling techniques The studies included the evaluation and interpretation of well logs, mud logs, well data, completion data, constructed x-sections, isopach maps and structure maps - Evaluated Devonian, Ordovician, and Pennsylvanian reservoirs on Harding & Shelton’s main acreage block in southwestern Dewey County, Oklahoma for the purpose of new exploration, recompletes and infill drilling opportunities. - Held a key role in the development of the Cleveland sandstone in Southwestern Dewey County. Geo-steered and assisted in completion decisions for Harding and Shelton’s first 8 horizontal wells in company history. - Testified as an export witness at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on all geologic matters concerning Harding and Shelton, Inc. - Collaborated with the partners and lead engineer on all farm-outs, divestitures and acquisitions. - Used geologic software including: Petra and PI Dwight’s Show less
