During this period of my career in education I gained significant experience in professional and program development, curriculum implementation (instruction, assessment and evaluation) and other aspects of education management. Carrying forward from my Masters Education studies and after a year-long residency in the Federal Republic of Germany I developed an appreciation for Human Rights education and International Studies. Several years after my return I chaired the Committee for Intercultural Awareness an organization that pioneered the idea of a multicultural resources centre in New Brunswick's largest city, Canada's oldest city, Saint John. I was instrumental in the delivery of Mathematics, Science and Social Studies curriculum and co-curricular enrichment activities. I gained a reputation as a Mathematics Education specialist and taught numeracy education to student-teachers. In this period I co-authored a middle school mathematics text. Show less
