I was lucky enough to work closely with Gareth for a year during my time at Mr B & Friends. There were challenges for us both as we learnt to navigate the pathway to success. We took on together the leadership of a full team of creative, strategic and project leaders but he never faltered in his drive, enthusiasm and ability to get something done impeccably well whilst bringing the team on the journey with him. He is a brilliant strategic thinker and creative with it. In our time working together I regularly saw him delight clients with his careful and thoughtful approach. I would recommend him highly to anyone looking for a great strategic brain!

Mr B & Friends is one of the UK’s leading independent brand agencies. We deliver brand expertise to ambitious businesses across the world and help them to transform, grow, engage and build advocacy with their customers and employees. But it’s how we work that really marks us out. With 'no added nonsense'. It means that we get to what matters most, and remove the bullshit, complexity, and faff that plagues our industry. Clients love it. We love it. And the results speak for themselves. Mr B & Friends is one of the UK’s leading independent brand agencies. At 24 years old, I launched the UK's first premium meatball brand, focused on the food-service and FMCG markets. Our unique 'Meatball and Craft Beer Bar' concept was launched in March 2014, and named "Best New Restaurant 2014" by Startups.co.uk. It also achieved a listing in their "100 to watch" list from 2015-2017, and was shortlisted for a further 7 awards over its first two years, including "Independent Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year 2016". Following a successful £130k crowdfunding campaign, the business pivoted its model in October 2016 to focus on the launch of its premium-branded meatball products for retail. Following this move, the business retained its listing in the Startups.co.uk "100 to watch" list for 2017. Our range of meatballs were listed in over 220 stores in ASDA, Morrisons and Tesco, across the North and South of England. My varied role included the development and creative direction of the brand, the planning, management and analysis of all marketing activity, and all design work across web, point-of-sale, packaging, photography and video - in addition to overseeing the day-to-day operation of multiple restaurants and even running the kitchen as Head Chef for three months.
