The role is to encourage and support the five NHS Boards in the West of Scotland to reach a decision on whether the introduction of a Managed Clinical Network for Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) would be beneficial to service delivery and sustainability across the region. Tasks include: • Reviewing, assessing and analysing the effectiveness of existing service delivery, protocols and guidelines • Supporting the development of regional service models, care pathways and shared protocols for Tiers 3 and 4 CAMHS services • Supporting the establishment of a regional clinical forum • Developing a clear work programme • Analysing, presenting and reporting information to the Clinical Reference Group on service profiles in relation to workforce structure and service needs • Reporting to Stakeholders on progress of the project • Reporting to the CAMHS Advisor to the Scottish Government • Facilitating a learning network across the region • Facilitating and presenting at large national conferences for all clinicians in the West of Scotland as part of the learning network. • Liaising with the 2 other regional projects and the Scottish Government to meet the current government Child and Adolescent Mental Health targets in compliance with Health legislation • Facilitate and coordinate the implementation of agreed activities, protocols and processes of stakeholders and the Clinical Reference Group. This regional role requires thinking and acting strategically, working across NHS board boundaries, communicating effectively, building relationships and encouraging joint working with a range of stakeholders within the NHS and partner agencies. It requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, planning and organisational skills, and the ability to influence others and negotiate effectively.
