New Business development within the education and corporate market sector. I joined Quadrant to work with directors who I had worked with at XMA and left with regret .I realised that the sales cycle and process within such complex solutions, did not play to my strengths, which are selling rather than project management.Quadrant Visual Solutions are a specialist audio visual instalation company. The company deals with makets as diverse as Universities to the defence sector and are the sole audio visual instalation company appointed by Nottinghamshire County Council.

I joined XMA as a hardware account manager in August 2002 and remained a part of the team until it was disbanded in January 2007, with the move to a customer centric model.I became jointly responsible for the total hardware figure of the wholesale division in May 2007 due to the decline in hardware sales under the customer centric model. From this time the hardware revenue figure grew month on month without fail and the profitability increased ,becoming greater than it had been with a hardware team of twelve individuals This role became redundant after the restructure involving the Nottingham officeI also had an eight month role from January to September 2004 in the spares department, where I was responsible for targeting the DSG customer base, these public sector accounts had never been managed or targeted by the spares department. I increased the sales and profitability of these accounts five fold in this time, before rejoining the Hardware team to worked on lapsed spending accounts.

Expo was a new start company with myself and an engineer to sell digital video transmission based security systems. This was a new market and we secured contacts with schools, colleges, housing associations as well as leading retailers such as Alldays and major concerns such as Capita. I left with regret, as the company was trading profitably and I wanted to open an office in London. The lesson I learnedis, that even if you own a third of a business you are powerless if two thirds are against you.
