I engaged Gareth as a project manager during Augean’s implementation of Sunsystems. This was a complex and timebound project which was critical to both improving MI in the business and meeting financial control objectives. Gareth was extremely successful in managing the multiple parties involved; Augean’s outsourced IT support, the software supplier, my team and Gareth’s team. The project took place under challenging conditions; a timetable the supplier thought ambitious, a finance team under transition, consolidation of multiple systems and a geographically disparate set of stakeholders. Despite this, the project was delivered on time, on budget and on spec. It’s not often you hear that in relation to a system implementation and Gareth’s skill and focus in making this happen was considerable.
