While working at Coral, the company initiated the ‘Blue Room’, which was an internal new business idea competition. I submitted an idea for a new football coupon, a first team to score concept which I called “First Blood Drawn”. Out of three hundred entries, my idea was selected as one of five finalists. I was invited down to the London for a night at Romford Greyhound Racing, followed by the competition final at the London HQ the next day. Sadly I didn’t win!
