Customer Care Officer

Aug 2005 - Aug 2008
As a customer care officer I was always the first point of contact to customers and members of the public. My primary role within the team was to respond to a variety of customer requests and enquiries via the telephone. Other duties included the monitoring of CCTV systems, key holding services and allowing access and egress to members of the public and staff. LCPL / Driver

Oct 1998 - Jun 2005
I enlisted into the Army in October 1998 and after successfully completing basic military training, I joined the Royal Logistics Corps. I then went on to complete my driver trade training, where I learned the fundamental skills of operating heavy goods vehicles as well as being able to manage loads, drive cross-country and perform basic maintenance tasks. Whilst on these courses I gained my C and C+E licenses as well as my HAZMAT qualification. As a fully trained private soldier, I was posted to a particularly busy unit were I used and added to my skills on operational deployments to Kosovo on operation AGRICOLA, Afghanistan on operation FINGAL, in the United Kingdom during operation FRESCO the military intervention during the fire brigade union strikes of 2002/2003 and most recently in Iraq on op TELIC in 2004. Employed as a driver, my main responsibilities consisted of the driving and maintenance of a wide range of heavy goods vehicles, were I was also responsible for the load of those vehicles, including those of a potentially hazardous nature. As a non commissioned officer, I often led convoys of vehicles, this involved management of personnel as well as vehicles, resulting in myself becoming an experienced man manager, transport manager and leader.
