With a desire to get back into a team and utilise my newfound experience I went back to full-time role where I was expected to show ownership of projects and top-level communication skills. In my time in this position, I have worked on offline design assets such as trade magazine promotion, POS, and packaging; digital assets such as web banners, email headers, affiliates, and social media content as well as working with the insights team on sales presentations. During this time I have grown to be a designer who is willing to take charge of a project with multiple contributors and offer knowledge as a marketeer as well as an experienced designer. - Notable roles and responsibility. - Design of front cover for of the leading trade vape magazine, Vape Retailer. - Project ownership of packaging design for CBD brand Montana. - Led the design migration of a 40 slide presentation from Adobe Illustrator to PowerPoint. - Project ownership of a quarterly newsletter attaining content and information from researchers, department heads, and directors. - Temporarily managed a junior designer helping with task management and design feedback. - Led the design on a full revamp of the One Pound E-Liquid Instagram feed, subsequently translating that design style over to web and email content. - Became creative lead on all web banners, emails, and social media content for both in-house brands - - EDGE and One Pound E-Liquid. - Led the creative delivery on multiple product launches including a full suite of digital assets, both static and animated, for a new flavour launch. - Worked with the CRM, trading, 3D, sales, marketing, insights, and content departments to deliver a full suite of digital assets and a direct mail design for the launch of the GOv2 vape device.

Focusing on sole traders and SME’s I wanted to create a one-stop-shop for company branding offering logos, stationery, collateral, social media content and front-end web content. I worked with clients all around the world on single logo designs all the way up to a full company rebrand. Working as a sole trader I was forced to adopt new skills not just as a designer but also as a business owner, such as accounts and bookkeeping, task management, salesmanship, communication, presentation skills, and networking. As well as working on client projects I also freelanced for agencies as an artworker, meaning I could experience different types of workflow and learn the inner workings of a variety of industries. - Notable roles and responsibility. - Working with content writers, printers and web developers I managed projects involving third-party contributors. - Freelanced for Manchester agency Threefold on POS for CO-OP. - Attended a weekly networking event involving a stand-up elevator pitch and a twice-yearly presentation. - Developed branded assets for companies within the field of AWS, software development, recruitment, web design, marketing consultancy, construction, healthcare, education, PPC, hospitality, commercial upholstery, fashion, health and wellbeing and gambling.

Starting out as an artworker responsible for simply taking pre-designed artwork and placing it on print-ready cutter guides, within a few months I was taking design briefs for brand new ranges of seasonal greetings cards for Asda, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco. Working with the editorial team and product managers I delivered designs from concept to final sign off creating multiple bestsellers some of which still feature in these supermarkets today. Notable roles and responsibility. - Ownership of concept ranges for buyer presentation - Delivery of trend mood boards for seasonal projects - Assigning briefs to freelancers and offering feedback and sign-off. - Assigned to visit parent company in America to be trained on new software and workflow to then train the staff in the UK office - Shared my extensive adobe knoledge with weekly ‘tool of the week’ drop in sessions
