Gareth provided an excellent service in helping deliver Bridge 1 on the Athletes Village on time and to a very high quality finish. Gareth is extremely personable, very efficient and a pleasure to deal with. He has an extremely bright future ahead of him. I would have no hesitation in saying he would be an asset to any organisation.

Contracts Manager
-
Jul 2014 - Jul 2019
- On a daily basis, I simultaneously managed several high-profile, multi-million pound contracts and was fully responsible for all aspects of each project. This included producing, adhering to and reporting on programme (in ASTA), managing budgets, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring health & safety during on-site installation, planning multiple deliveries and logistics.- In an extremely challenging environment where high quantities of work were undertaken with incredibly tight timescales, my efficiency, organisational skills and clarity on procedure were highly valued by Lee Warren’s Directors. I was able to undertake multiple tasks at once, seek additional information as required and quickly provide clear instruction to all members of my team, which enabled us to successfully deliver on last-minute requests, as well as our long-standing project commitments.- Unlike typical project set up on other Lee Warren contracts, I often did not have a dedicated Design Manager and performed this role myself (in addition to that of Contracts Manager) on numerous projects, largely due to my attention to detail. I liaised on a daily basis with draughtsmen and structural engineers to drive the design phase and oversee 3D modelling and engineering.- I regularly produced all pre site documentation including ITPs, Health & Safety Plans, Quality Plans to company procedures/ISO standards and Design Risk Registers. I managed on-site handovers for large numbers of scopes and phases and also assisted with O&M Manuals post-completion.- As well as structural steel, architectural metalwork and glass balustrade scopes, I also had to manage a number of other packages where I had no prior knowledge. These include £1million of granite wall cladding and a glass-clad lift shaft at Victoria Underground Station and the demolition of existing DLR infrastructure at Poplar Station.

Commercial Project Manager
-
Apr 2013 - Jul 2014
- Originally employed as a Project Manager, I was tasked with establishing processes that would allow the company to more successfully deliver long-term wind farm projects. Joining a rapidly expanding company with relatively little experience in work outside crane hire and contract lifts, I immediately added value by setting out department-wide procedures that increased delivery efficiency and financial revenues, and improved overall management quality.- My role was subsequently expanded to include Commercial Manager responsibilities for the company’s Siemens framework contract for the supply of all craneage, plant and labour for the onshore assembly activities for offshore wind farms in the UK (worth over £1 million per month).- I also held an AP ticket and produced a number of lift plans for 800t and 1000t mobile cranes lifts.
