In Future Center we create future mobility concepts for all, as we are rethinking what we refer to as the "car". We do not work for any specific brand, but attempt to influence and push them all, within the entire Volkswagen group. My responsibilities include recruiting personnel and developing all digital design processes for the studio. I spot the differences in team members and use accepted strengths to everyone’s advantage. Now being followed by other studio managers, I started early on developing each team member towards seniority with the ability of co-leading projects. I have demonstrated that this strategy results in a win-win situation: each member receives more content through responsibility and is rewarded with more motivation through satisfaction. I may concentrate on strategy rather than details. With the industry no longer concentrating only on the physical, but increasingly the virtual, my top priority also changes. Developed and implemented processes already fine-tuned for the highest quality in physical models are modified for flexible simulations in the virtual world. I direct our future of design development and presentation. I enable non-experts to use expert tools, streamlined through software development, providing user-friendly possibilities of digitally presenting their own concepts, regardless of it being in mono, stereo, on-screen, in-glasses or 3D printed. I have supervised and am digitally responsible for the following projects: Sedric, Geneva 2017 Show less

    • Digital Sculptor
      • Jul 2004 - Jun 2007

I worked as a Digital Sculptor mostly on exterior concepts, as well as being second in charge, enabling me to develop my managerial and organizational skills.

    • Teacher
      • Apr 2008 - Jul 2013

Teaching ‘Digital Modeling’ weekly at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam in addition to my position at Design Center Potsdam. This is a volunteer position from my side, giving the product design students a chance to learn digital modeling, using internationally recognized modeling techniques from automotive design. It also gives me a chance to find new talents and integrating that into my team at DCP. I have also taught our studio's exterior and interior designers, giving them enough knowledge to model their own designs in 3D. Show less

Directly from the start at Mazel, I was working for Fiat at various locations in Turin, Italy, including Stola Design and Centro Stile. The main project throughout these four months were Idea (interior details), Chroma (exterior details) and Barchetta (exterior facelift). During the next four months, I worked at Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, mostly on complete exterior concepts for the Spider and 166 successor, both of which never materialised, sadly. Back in the design office at Mazel, I worked as the lead Alias modeller on several projects, including a sports car and a Street Sweeper. From February 2003, I supported Volkswagen's Design Center Europe with Alias modelling. Show less

During my studies at Coventry University, I spent three summers ensuring perfect lawns in the green, park-like surroundings around Ringsaker Kirke, the local church, Norway's second highest. This was an excellent summer job, offering fresh air, beautiful landscape, curious tourists and thankful relatives of the ones gone.
