My responsibilities as a school psychologist encompass support students’ ability to learn and teachers’ ability to teach. My duties are to apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. In addition, I partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.

My responsibilities in Broward County were similar with those at Palm Beach County. Overall, I supported students’ ability to learn and teachers’ ability to teach. I did apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. I often partnered with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. My previous experience as a math teacher at Stranahan High School allowed me to bridge the gap between teaching and a more supportive role as an educator.
