Planning Aid for Scotland (PAS) is an independent and impartial organisation, working across Scotland to help people shape their communities and engage more effectively with planning. Opportunities that I assist with include roadshow events, note taking on facilitation events, community training and assisting with CPD Seminars. I am also currently participating in their 'By Leaves We Live' project for 2013 Year of Natural Scotland to deliver a national project which will pay homage to Patrick Geddes, the founding father of modern town planning. PAS has commissioned six artists to work as artist-in-residence in six locations throughout Scotland. The role of the artists is to collaborate with six groups of planners to create temporary public artworks which explore, examine, highlight and inspire debate around Scotland’s natural environment and the economic challenges and opportunities for the future that the planning system has to manage. My project of choice is the 'Renewable Energy a Low Carbon Economy' Show less
