In a connection originally formed through a business connection, over the summer I spent part of that time working a summer job in Denmark. During this time I also volunteered to help setup/take down and volunteered at a cycling race consisting of 140km that the company organised. Other than making and packing ice cream, I also applied some intercultural skills through working in a professional and personal environment. Assistant Track And Field Coach
-
Aug 2017 - Feb 2019
While injured and out for the season, I became coaching assistant, specifically for the hurdle athletes, which was my domain, and for the 100m sprinters. My coaching hour consisted of scripting an every-practice warm up, and different exercises depending on what technique we would be working on to improve the athlete's time. This was a great experience for me to put my input into the sport and still be a part of it despite the injury. I had full creativity of exercises, which had to be read through by the coach to make sure injury prevention was implemented and it would not negatively impact the athletes' health. Show less
