I began intermittently volunteering with OLM Outreach in the Fall of 2017 through the Catholic Student Association at the College of Charleston. However, as I was nearing graduation I realized that I wanted to be more involved in the organization and became a regular volunteer. Once a week, I assist in OLM's Clothing Center where clients are able to shop at no cost. This experience has challenged me to engage with issues of systemic poverty in Charleston, as well as participate in a piece of the solution.

Artisan Global is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization developing creative industries in Gulu, Uganda through local entrepreneurs. As a research intern, I have performed a variety of tasks such as compiling a database of potential wholesale partners, contributing to an E-library of free courses and resources for the Artisans in Gulu, and most recently initiating the background research on a pilot microfinancing program for the Artisan Center. Through my position as a waitress, I have been able to financially support myself throughout college. It has also been an incredibly humbling experience of serving others, learning time management and multitasking skills, as well as how to work in a face-paced enviroment.
