Summer Intern
-
May 2020 - Aug 2020
With my internship with the Courier Journal being canceled due to COVID-19, I was offered another internship at the College Heights Herald, where I grew tremendously as a journalist. My role as an intern was to pitch story ideas, write stories, edit stories, take photos, have everything ready by the deadline, post it to the College Heights Herald website and post it to all social medias of the Herald.

Jun 2016 - Jun 2016
WKU’s Xposure Journalism Workshop where high school students moved on campus and worked in Student Publications. Participants were tasked with creating their own stories as well as writing a profile piece on a fellow participant. During my time here, I would go on to make the decision that I would be a journalist. I was recognized by Chuck Clark and Bob Adams for my writing abilities as well as a scholarship to WKU. During my time here, I wrote two stories about my fellow participant and workshop alum, Ashlee Clark Thompson. Thompson acknowledged my interview skills as well as my ability to give good questions. After the interview, I completed the story with a couple of hours. Show less
