My role at Canberra marketing agency Threesides Marketing began with an opportunity to intern and eventually led to a paid position as a Casual Marketing Coordinator. Upon graduating, in early 2017 I was offered a full-time position as Marketing Coordinator. The role was extremely varied, and gave me a multitude of experience in multiple different areas - on any given day, I could have been writing the script for a targeted campaign video and coordinating the shoot; filling in a design brief for the promotion of a new app to assist a growing community; or creating, designing and promoting a Facebook Canvas ad for a major tourist destination in Victoria. Much of my role at Threesides was made up of managing social media accounts for businesses both from Canberra and interstate including: Brand Canberra (@wearecbr) (2017 - Feb 2018); Victoria's Alpine Resorts (@vicalpineresorts, formerly Snow Victoria @snowvictoria_au) (2017); Old Bus Depot Markets (@oldbusdepotmarkets); Capital Region Farmers Market (@crfarmersmarket); the RUC (@theruc_turner); Just Cuts Waurn Ponds and Tipsy Bull. Content development, including the writing of blogs, social media posts, eNews and website copy for clients; Facebook advertising; and reporting on all of the above were major components of what I did in my role at Threesides. I gained practical experience and understanding of strategy; campaigns; analytics; WPEngine; design and design briefing; and print briefing among many other essential marketing tools and practices. In the winter season of 2013, I coached an U10 girls basketball at Radford College. The experience was incredibly rewarding, as I was able to coach girls who hadn't yet been exposed to basketball by teaching them all the rules and techniques of the sport. One of the major highlights of coaching was creating certificates for 'Player of the Week', which encouraged the girls work a little bit harder and push themselves to be the best at their game. By the end of the season, the team was made up of confident players who were eager to continue playing basketball and ready to progress to upper divisions. Show less
