The initial activity was developed automating the data collected from each device in the network as Switches, A10, Datacom, Routers of Huawei, Cisco and Juniper. This database was insert in an Excel worksheet and afterwards organized by state, city, hostname (POP). The obtained data from SecureCRT (CLI) were: • IP address and netmask; • Interfaces being used and its descriptions; • The type of SFP, wavelength; • The average and peak consumption (also using software SolarWinds to compare). After few months of experience, the focus turned to developing KPI projects, equipment swap projects to enhance and optimize the network. These projects were made and divided by five documents, as shown below: • Descriptive of the project (Word doc), where contains the summary, objectives proposed, logical analysis of the network and possible improvements; • MOP (Excel doc), where contains the interface logical connections of the routers, reserved IP (using IPAM), script that will be used to update the router, topology and initial script in case of swap projects; • Material list (Excel doc), where contains the average cost and the amount used; • Topology (PDF sheet); • Topology (Visio or Draw.io doc).
