  • Developed spray coatings with antiviral activity, for face masks and commercial textiles, which deactivate Covid-19 virus immediately upon contact (NSERC grant). • Designed graphene/graphene oxide-based hydrogels and aerogels which work as electrodes for energy storage, water remediation, and green fuel production, i.e. oxidation of seawater to O2. • Synthesized titanium-rich bioglasses, which are glasses able to convert to bones when installed inside a living body. • Wrote successful grant proposals and reviewed peer research for 2 prominent scientific journals (Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, NanoResearch). • Conducted research in collaboration with different McGill Departments & also completed autonomous research projects (experiment design, build custom-made setup, select and purchase equipment).
